Building Strong Foundations: A Look Inside the Uvalde CISD Learning Center 3K Program

At the Uvalde CISD Learning Center, learning begins early. Through the district's 3K Program, three-year-old students are building the academic, social, and developmental skills that will help prepare them for success in school and beyond.

The 3K Program is a full-time, five-day-a-week program where students spend eight hours each day in a structured and engaging learning environment. Their day begins at 8:00 a.m. with breakfast before transitioning into a full schedule of age-appropriate learning experiences.

The Learning Center is home to four 3K classrooms, including two classrooms that offer bilingual instruction. This allows students to learn and grow in an environment designed to support their individual language and developmental needs.

Each day at the Uvalde CISD Learning Center is filled with opportunities to explore, discover, and grow. From picking up a pencil and practicing their first written letters to listening to a story or participating in a math activity, students are learning that school is a place where they can be curious, confident, and excited to learn.
