The Maroon Madness parade will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 6pm. Parade lineup will begin at 4:45pm at the intersection of N. Wood St. and E. Nopal. The parade lineup will occur on E. Nopal between N. Wood St. and N. 1st St. Parade participants are to enter the parade lineup on N. 1st St. facing west on E. Nopal St. The parade lineup is a first-come, first-served basis please arrive as a group if you wish to be with a particular group.
The parade route will proceed down E. Nopal St., turning right onto Getty (U.S. 83) St. continuing to the Honey Bowl visitor’s parking lot. The Visitor Parking Lot at the Honey Bowl will be utilized as parking and the drop-off point for student athletes to enter the Honey Bowl. All guests are to enter the Honey Bowl through the main entrance to pass through security. The festivities will continue in the Honey Bowl with Meet the Coyote & Lobo at 6:45pm inside the Honey Bowl.
All entries should be appropriate in costuming and the language on any posted signs.
ALL DRIVERS MUST BE 21 AND HAVE A VALID LICENSE.
Parade speed shall not exceed 5 miles per hour.
Each parade entry will be escorted by two walkers over the age of 18.
Persons who throw candy must be over the age of 10.
Parade entrants must leave a safe distance from the unit in front of them.
No child under 8 years of age will be allowed on an entry without a parent in attendance.
Entries should be supportive of Uvalde CISD and our community.
