What is perfect attendance?

Welcome to the Motivate Our Students Texas Perfect Attendance Learning Expeditions! We are thrilled to offer our students a chance to embark on unforgettable adventures as a reward for maintaining perfect attendance. Here's everything you need to know to get involved and make the most of this exciting opportunity.

Perfect Attendance Qualification Criteria

Students must maintain perfect attendance during the designated time challenge to qualify for these exciting adventures. Perfect attendance means being present and on time every day.

Exceptions to the Perfect Attendance Rule

Certain situations are considered exceptions and will not disqualify students from perfect attendance:

  1. Extra-Curricular Activities

  2. Court Dates: Students must return with court documentation.

  3. Doctor’s Appointments:

    • If a student leaves during the school day and returns to complete the day with a doctor's note.

    • If a student leaves toward the end of the day, they must provide a doctor's note the following day.

What Does Not Constitute Perfect Attendance?

Any absences, including when a student returns the next day with a parent's or doctor's note due to illness, COVID, surgery, or other medical issues, do not count as perfect attendance.

We appreciate your commitment to education and making every day count. We’re excited to see our students embark on these unforgettable adventures.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Uvalde CISD proudly partnered with Motivate Our Students Texas (M.O.S.T.) to enhance student attendance and provide exciting career exploration opportunities. Through our innovative Learning Expeditions, students earned the chance to visit fascinating destinations such as Ox Ranch, SeaWorld, The San Antonio Zoo, and the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology. These expeditions, entirely funded by M.O.S.T., served as incentives for achieving perfect attendance challenges, allowing our students to enjoy these interactive, hands-on learning opportunities.

Expanding Horizons with Classroom Speakers

The second semester debuted the Classroom Speaker Program, an integral part of M.O.S.T.'s initiatives. By connecting students with community members from diverse industries, this program offered a unique platform for classroom speaking engagements. These interactions provided students with real-world insights into various careers, helping them bridge the gap between education and the professional world. Our speakers shared their personal journeys, including challenges and triumphs, emphasizing essential values such as perseverance, determination, and respect.

We are immensely thankful for Motivate Our Students Texas's support and unwavering belief in our students and staff! As we continue our collaboration, with new Learning Expedition sites and an expanding roster of speakers, we're poised to motivate our students even further. Together, we aim to inspire punctuality, enthusiasm, and a readiness to learn among our students.

Join us in this exciting journey to empower the next generation and ensure they are equipped for future success. Your involvement makes a difference!
