1. Observe A Student
Parents, teachers, and community members observe a student who performs or shows the potential for performing at a higher level than their peers in an intellectual area or a specific academic field.
2. Refer A Student
An individual may refer the observed student for services by locating and completing the Digital Referral Form located on the District Gifted and Talented Website. For assistance finding or completing the digital referral please reach out to the Enrichment Coordinator.
3. Referral Processing
District Staff will intake all referrals and begin communication with campuses and families regarding the next steps in the identification process.
4. Take A Deeper Look
Students are assessed during the testing window. A district committee reviews the student’s qualitative and quantitative data to determine if services are recommended.
5. Notification Of Service
Students and parents receive notification of assessment results. Gifted and Talented services will begin the following school year, with the exception of Kindergarten students who will start services in March.
