Mr. Josh Albright
I am a small town, having-fun-doing-nothing kind of guy. I love the power of language and the effects that it can have on a person. Don't believe me? Try listening to "The Cost of Discipleship" by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. I did not grow up loving English, in fact, I rather disliked it, but I found my love for it in college while learning Latin. The principles of one's first language may seem rather trivial if one speaks not another language. But when asked of one to do such, as in speaking another language, one must first know one's first language properly, especially in regards to Latin. For English is built off of the fallen, yet once lively language. Also, it is through language that one may breathe things to life, for dragons and unicorns would not exist were it not for our words that put them into our minds. For we would not feel the heat of the day in the midst of the winter were it not for the words of Leo Tolstoy in "Anna Karenina".
I am a follower of Jesus, a happily married man, and a father of three amazing kids. I grew up in small-town Missouri and I met my wife at the restaurant we both found ourselves working at in Kansas City. I love to read, play with my kids, watch tv with my wife, and I have been known to play a video game or two. I believe that the pursuit of happiness is an unending path but do not believe that the path does not yield its fruit. I believe only one thing in life can truly bring one happiness and I am in agreeance with Aquinas on this matter.
