The Uvalde Homecoming Parade will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. Line-up for the parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. at E. Nopal between Wood St. & N. 1st street. The parade route will proceed down Nopal Street, turning right on Getty, then continuing to Honey Bowl visitor's parking lot for the bonfire.
All drivers of floats/vehicles in the parade must be over the age of 21.
Parade speed shall not exceed 5 miles per hour.
Each parade entry will be escorted by two walkers over the age of 18.
Persons who throw candy must be over the age of 10.
Parade entrants must leave a safe distance from the unit in front of them.
Any UCISD schools, along with any Uvalde Community youth groups will be able to participate this year. All clubs/organizations and sports teams must be accompanied by a sponsor.
There will be a $25 entry fee for the parade this year, checks will go to the class of 2022. Forms are to be submitted by Friday, October 8, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. Participants will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you have any questions please contact Jennifer Barnett or Norma Barbosa.
All participants agree that UCISD, its representatives, board members, and employees are not responsible or liable whatsoever for any and all claims or causes of action, damages, suits, costs, expenses, or attorney fees that may arise from participation in the parade.
Prior to the day of the event, Administration will make a decision regarding schedule changes, delays, or postponement due to the forecasted weather.
