Mrs. Nikki Rodriguez M.Ed., LPC
Welcome Families and Students to the 2020-2021 school year!
My name is Nikki Rodriguez and I am the loud and proud Family & Student Support Counselor for UHS. I was born and raised in Uvalde and I graduated from Uvalde High School in 1999. I continued on in my education to later obtain my associate's degree from Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs. I then relocated to Washington State, where I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a minor in Health Services. When I returned to Texas in 2008, I began working on my graduate degree and ultimately graduated from Sul Ross State University-Rio Grande College in 2014 with my Master's degree in Education in Counseling. I officially became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2018 and have had the pleasure of working for the district since 2016.
A little about me, in my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, visiting new places, and trying new food. I am married with four children, two of which have already graduated from UHS. My passion is learning about mental health, how the brains works, behaviors, and how childhood experiences can affect us both positively and negatively in our lives.
I look forward to supporting and working with my students and families this upcoming year!
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me and if I don't know the answer, I will find it!
