Ms. Juliana Botello

Hello Uvalde Coyotes & Lobos!

I am pleased to introduce myself as a new English III teacher and JV Cheer coach here at UHS. Although I am new to the UHS staff, I am not new to UHS. I am a UHS alumni from the graduating Pack of 2009! While at UHS I participated in the mariachi group and cheerleading team all four years of high school. I graduated from Southwest Texas Junior College with my Associate of Arts degree and from Sul Ross State University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in English . While enrolled at Sul Ross State University I was inducted into the International Honor Society in Psychology.

I am a firm believer in doing your very best every day to become who you want to be. No one said life was easy, you have to work hard for what you want to achieve. The following is a quote from one of my favorite books and authors, Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom. I think about this quote at the beginning of every day:

"Every day, have a little bird on your shoulder that asks, 'Is today the day? Am I ready? Am I doing all I need to do? Am I being the person I want to be?'" -Mitch Albom, Tuesdays With Morrie
