My name is Brenda Mueller. I graduated from Texas State University (when it was known as Southwest Texas State University) and began my teaching career 29 years ago! In 1995 we moved to Uvalde where I taught at Flores Elementary for 2 years before taking a year away from teaching to stay home with my newborn daughter. In August 1998, I began teaching at Anthon Elementary School where I stayed for 17 years. 6 years ago I transferred over to UHS to teach reading, and then moved to my dream job at the UCISD Candle Shop. I am an FLS teacher and I have the privilege of working with students who have special needs. We work on vocational skills in a community based classroom where we make candles and fire starters that are sold in the shop to the public. The students also shred papers and documents for UCISD.
I have two daughters who were raised in this town and graduated from UHS. My husband is also employed by the school district. I enjoy traveling, having fun and spending time with my family and friends."
