Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Driggers graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in
English with a minor in Physical Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. He has been
in the business of education for nearly 30 years. He has served students as both a high school and a
middle school teacher. He has also served as a school administrator for a number of years both in San
Antonio and Uvalde. This is Mr. Driggers third year with Uvalde CISD.
Mr. Driggers has fond memories of coaching football and basketball. He appreciates the time in which it
takes to produce results on the field. He translates this into what it takes to be equally successful in the
classroom. “Students must put in the hours and commit to their studies in order to make the gains they
need to succeed,” says Mr. Driggers. He lives by these words as he is a self-acclaimed under achiever.
“As a teenager, I struggled to get motivated and put in the work, but I had a fantastic teacher in high
school. He showed me that it takes more than just showing up to succeed…really succeed in life.”
In addition to serving as a local educator, Mr. Driggers has given to the United States by enlisting in the
US Air Force as a Flight Medic. Mr. Driggers flew in both Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He
credits lessons learned in this phase of his life as being instrumental for things to come.
Mr. Driggers continues to put in the effort as a life-long learner. “I try to learn something new every day.
We should all keep open minds and seek out that which is unknown.”
Mr. Driggers looks forward to the new year and wishes all the best.
