I grew up in western Colorado, in a city called Grand Junction. I graduated from Central High School (class of 1982), then attended Mesa College, a state college also in Grand Junction.
I moved to the Washington, DC, area, where I worked in the computer field for several government contracting companies. I later transitioned to teaching, working in two Maryland counties for 4 years.
I then moved to Texas, working as a substitute teacher in various ISDs in San Antonio for four years. I then interviewed with Uvalde CISD, and was hired as a mathematics teacher. This school year will be my ninth at Uvalde High School.
In my spare time, my family and I raise homeless kittens for San Antonio Pets Alive (SAPA).
