BBA- Sul Ross State University Certified in Generalist EC-6 Special Education EC-12 Working on M.Ed in Applied Behavior Analysis
Hello all! My name is Melissa Ahlschlager and I am a Behavior Intervionist for Dalton Elementary. This is my 7th year working with the district. I was previously a life skills teacher and worked with early childhood students and students at the Junior High School. I graduated from Uvalde High School in 2007 and continued my journey at Baylor University. In 2013, I graduated with my bachelor's degree in business administration from Sul Ross State University. After working for Child Protective Services, I decided to pursue a career in education. My husband and I are both teachers at UCISD and together we have three children: ages 9, 7, and 4. In December 2021, I will graduate with my Master's Degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. I am currently working towards becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I hope to continue being a positive influence for all children.
