Magik Theatre Perfect Attendance Challenge

UCISD, in partnership with Motivate Our Students Texas, is thrilled to announce the Magik Theatre Perfect Attendance Challenge featuring the delightful play, Tomás and the Library Lady.

About the Play

"Tomás and the Library Lady" is an inspiring tale based on the true story of Tomás Rivera and the beloved book by Pat Mora. This bilingual production, appealing to both English and Spanish speakers, celebrates the joy of stories, reading, and imagination. The play follows Tomás, the son of migrant farm workers in Texas, who discovers the transformative power of books through the kindness of a librarian.

Attendance Challenge Details

PreK-2nd Grade students from Batesville School, Dalton Elementary, and Uvalde Dual Language Academy have the opportunity to attend this wonderful performance by maintaining perfect attendance from Tuesday, February 11th, to Friday, March 28th.

• Dalton Elementary Qualifiers: Morning performance at 9:30 AM
• Batesville School & Uvalde Dual Language Academy Qualifiers: Afternoon performance at 1:30 PM

Both performances will take place at the John H. Harrell Auditorium on Tuesday, April 8th.
