Uvalde CISD School Board Resolution Against School Vouchers
The Uvalde CISD School Board has officially passed a resolution opposing Texas school vouchers and education savings accounts. These voucher programs unequivocally redirect vital public funds away from traditional public schools, undermining the resources necessary for the education of the majority of our students. The Board stands firmly against implementing or expanding school voucher programs utilizing public funds.
We call on state and federal legislators to prioritize substantial investments in public education, ensuring that public schools are adequately funded to deliver a high-quality education for all students.
We encourage our community members to engage in advocacy efforts that support public education and reject the diversion of public funds to private schools through voucher programs. The Uvalde CISD Resolution and Legislative Priorities are shared to mobilize awareness and foster robust community support.
