UCISD Public Education Education Grant (PEG)

The PEG program was created by the Texas Legislature to expand educational options for students whose campuses appear on the state’s PEG List. If a campus is on this list, parents have the legal right to request a transfer for their child to a different public school—either within Uvalde CISD or to another district. Families may submit PEG transfer requests for the 2026–27 school year once the list is finalized. Texas Education Agency
