Degrees and Certifications:
She is an alumni of Granbury High School, Class of 1992.
After high school, she attended Tarelton State University,
graduating in August, 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in
Human Sciences. She originally wanted to be a
professional educator for Texas Cooperative Extension.
Upon moving to Uvalde, she went back to Sul Ross Rio
Grande College to complete the Teaching Certification
Program. She believes that a students’ thirst for
knowledge helps empower them to reach their goals in
life. A person can take away your pride, your self-esteem,
your confidence, but a person cannot take your education
and the knowledge you have in your brain. It’s yours
forever. She expects students to come to English with a
desire to learn, to become better readers and writers, to
challenge themselves to better than they were in the past
and move forward into the future. She enjoys fishing,
baking, traveling, learning new things, reading, and
spending time with family.
