Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Beverly (Stowitts) Kroening. I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. My Mom is from a long line of German immigrants that arrive in Texas in the mid-1830, and my Dad’s family line comes from Dutch immigrants who arrived on the shores of NY, (New Amsterdam) around 1640. I am proud that I had thirteen ancestors who fought in the American Revolution on the Early-American patriot side. My Dad served in WWII and then started a successful commercial printing shop in downtown San Antonio; my Mom worked as a tailor for one of the leading retail clothing stores in San Antonio. I absolutely describe myself as an active artist; I have been drawing forever, and painting since the age of ten. I can talk about art all day long to anyone, and it is a very good thing that I am an art teacher. I have two bachelor’s degrees, one in Art, and one in English. I have been married for 38 years. My husband and I have one son, who is an editor for Channel Five News in San Antonio. I am happy to be an Art teacher here at Uvalde CISD and I am looking forward to a great year.
