B.A. in Communications from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi
Technology Applications: Principles of Audio-Visual Technology; Audio/Video Production; Graphic Design I and II
I chose to teach after a long career in the field of Journalism--almost ten years as a reporter/photojournalist/videographer for the CBS television affiliate in Corpus Christi. During that time I had the opportunity to fly with the Navy's Blue Angels and interview a death row inmate. Following my start in broadcasting, I worked in public relations positions, including almost ten years as Public Information Officer for the City of Corpus Christi.
I began my teaching career with Incarnate Word Academy High School in Corpus Christi, teaching journalism-related classes, U.S. History and creative writing. Circumstances brought ne to Uvalde High School 12 years ago, and I found a new home. I believe deeply in the students of Uvalde High School and I share every parent's dream of their student's success.
