Humberto Torres, January's Employee of the Month!

Our employee of the month for January as Humberto Torres, Dalton Kinder Teacher. Mr. T, as he is fondly called by his students and staff represents the art and humanity of what a model educator is. Mr. T is a caring and loving teacher who is committed to helping his students be successful. He has high expectations for his students and has built positive relationships with students and parents. His willingness to help others and take initiative to help the Dalton campus be successful is demonstrated in leading staff trainings in PBIS and Classroom Dojo. Mr. T has also made himself available to help teachers with technology or any need that arises. He collaborates and is supportive of his colleagues during PLC and Campus Planning Committees. Mr. T is also dependable and always attends campus and district trainings such as PBIS andLead4ward with a great attitude and ready to share information with the campus. He has also invited his Boy Scouts Troops 81 to help with campus events and to read to his students. Mr. T serves in the Boy Scouts and as a member of the Lion's Club. As a former Eagle Scout he is mentoring one of our high school students who is currently completing his Eagle Scout Projection the Dalton Campus.

Mr. Contreras shares, “Dalton is blessed to have such a positive, caring and committed teacher dedicated to helping Dalton be a leader in Early Childhood Education. Mr. T makes a difference and he makes us better! Mr. T is Positive, has a heart for serving others, and has a universal commitment to the success of ALL the students and staff of Dalton. Mr. T always communicates in a positive and professional manner. He is friendly and has a great sense of humor. He is a pleasure to be around. Mr. T is a disciplined educator. He is always here before 7 am when the students arrive. He is always looking for ways to grow and improve. He is committed to being an educator. Mr. T is also pursuing his a Master's Degree in Education Leadership with the hopes of being a principal in the future. Mr. T is always looking for ways to become better. He is open to suggestions. He is driven and possess a "Whatever it Takes" attitude.” Please help me congratulate Humberto Torres!
