Morales Students Off to Explore GeoFORCE

Board Recognitions

Uvalde CISD is honored and excited to announce five Morales Junior High students have been accepted into the GeoFORCE Texas Jackson School of Geosciences. GeoFORCE is an experiential outreach program that prepares Texas high school students to become part of the geosciences workforce. This program is competitive and only accepts 120 students each year. Applicants must have a 3.0 overall GPA for 7th and 8th grade, have no grade lower than B in math or science in 7th and 8th grade, write an essay explaining why he/she is interested in GeoFORCE and supply a teacher recommendation. Applications are accepted from 8th grade students, once a student is accepted to the program he/she stays with the program all through high school. The following students will be representing Uvalde CISD as the newest GeoFORCE members:
