UHS Migrant Students Represent UCISD at Washington

Board Recognitions

A total of 20 incoming 2015-2016 UHS migrant students were accepted to participate in the Washington Flagship Program sponsored by Close Up Foundation. Students traveled to Washington, D.C. on Sunday, June 7 and returned on Saturday, June 13. The weeklong trip consisted of a National Politics Seminar, a Mock
Congress Workshop, meeting with members of Congress and visits to monuments. The Close Up program is not just a tour, nor a series of lectures it
takes what students learn in the classroom and brings it to life! We have the pleasure of having student representatives present this evening to share their personal experiences.
