Philosophy

A high-quality education for all individuals and a fair and equal opportunity to obtain that education are a social good, are a moral imperative, and improve the life every individual because the quality of our individual lives ultimately depends on the quality of the lives of others.

Purpose

To enable the schools to provide opportunities for children served to acquire the knowledge and skills contained in the challenging State content standards and to meet the challenging State performance standards for all children.

Goals of Title I

  • To increase achievement in the areas of reading, writing and mathematics.
  • Implementing Title I District wide.
  • To further skill development in the academic areas by supplementing basic classroom instruction to increase personal and school success.
  • To stress cooperation between student, classroom teacher, parent and school.
  • To improve instruction by providing teacher training and classroom materials.
