Summer Technology Camp

In order to accelerate technology literacy among students ‐a critical set of skills that will enable them to succeed in school, college and the workforce‐ your child will have the opportunity to participate in a 5‐day technology summer camp. Through hands‐on, instructor‐led inquiry activities in a safe environment, your child will learn to use multiple technologies and digital resources to use information, solve problems and communicate. The camp will also help identify students who will be eligible to become campus student leaders next school year and provide additional technology support for teachers and peers.

The camp will take place at Uvalde High School. Camp sessions will have a duration of 2 ½ to 3 hours daily, Monday through Friday. Incoming 6th and 7th grade students are welcome to attend. The camp will be the week of June 13th. There are limited amounts of slots open, so please turn in permission slip as soon as possible to guarantee spot for your child. There is no cost for attending the camp.

Participation in the camp is on a first come, first served basis until slots are filled. The number of slots will depend on the number of responses received, availability of camp facilitators and availability of computers at the campus where the camp will take place.

Please return the application to the Uvalde CISD Central Office by April 22, 2016 or at your earliest convenience. You will then receive a confirmation via phone or email. If you have any questions, please contact Anne Marie Espinoza at 830‐278‐6655 ext. 1075 or
