Location:UCISD Police Department
Description:Under general supervision, this officer performs tasks related to ensuring the safety of UCISD students, staff, and visitors.
Additionally, the officer provides classroom presentations, counsels students and parents, engages students
through mentoring, and serves as a positive role model to help promote healthy relationships between youth and
law enforcement.

Requirements:Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Completion of police academy training including six weeks of on-the-job training.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in the use of firearms.
  • Minimum of 3 years investigative experience preferred
Licenses or Certifications Required: 
  • Texas Class C Driver's License
  • Police Officer Certification from the Texas Commission of Law Enforcement
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
  • Supervise School Resource Officers, security personnel, and crossing guards
  • Develop work schedules, submit duty reports as required.
  • Conduct investigations at all UCISD locations and provide assistance to other local law
    enforcement agencies when it is deemed appropriate.  Conduct internal investigations and
    provide assistance to the Chief when assigned.  Collect and maintain chain of evidence 
    pertaining to major investigations/arrests.  File appropriate charges with the appropriate
    judicial system.
  • Positive interaction with students on a daily basis
  • Be familiar with all School Board policies and procedures and Student Code of Conduct
    particularly concerning student behavior that is prohibited by those policies.
