Special Education Staff

Welcome to the Uvalde Independent School District's Special Education Department website! We are glad you are visiting our page and we hope it assists you in learning more about our department and how we may be of service to you.
Uvalde CISD provides special education services for students with disabilities, ages 3-21, who have a need for specially designed instruction. We also provide services for students, ages 0-2, who meet eligibility for auditory or visual impairments. In addition to special education campus teachers and instructional assistants, our staff also includes diagnosticians, speech pathologists and pathology assistants, licensed specialists in school psychology, deaf education teachers as well as other related service specialists who are committed in meeting the unique and individual needs of our students.
UCISD is actively involved with the early identification of children with disabilities through our "Child Find" efforts. Parents who have concerns about their child's development or academic performance may call our office at 830-591-4928 or speak with your child's campus teacher or campus counselor. As you navigate within this site, please feel free to contact our department with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
Our office is located at the West Garden Student Services Center, 129 Goldbeck Street.
