Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District will again participate in the National School Lunch Program which provides free and reduced-price meals for students from households with qualifying incomes. Households must apply every school year for the meal program. In addition, foster children who are the legal responsibility of a welfare agency or court may also be eligible for benefits regardless of the income of the household.
All UCISD students may buy lunch for $2.40 at elementary schools and $2.65 at secondary schools. Breakfast is free at both the elementary and secondary schools. The reduced price is $.40 for lunch at all grade levels.
To receive free or reduced-price meals for students, individuals must complete an application and return it to the school or to UCISD Child Nutrition Office, 129 Goldbeck St., Uvalde, Texas 78801. For faster service, applications may be submitted online.
